Meetings

Meetings shall be held at least ten times per year at such time and place as the board determines. The annual meeting shall take place during the month of June.

Composition

The Council consists of 21 Directors (five ex-officio, 16 appointed). No more than 49% will be of the private sector. Of the 16 appointed members, two may be youth members (may consist of one student from each county high school). The Council shall have a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Term of Office

An individual may serve two consecutive three-year terms and may be considered for reappointment to the Council after an absence of one year. Youth directors may serve a two-year term beginning at the annual meeting in June of their sophomore year.

Elections

The Council shall send a letter of request for the Commissioners to appoint candidates that they have approved at the annual meeting in June.

Caroline Human Services Council (HSC) is specifically organized and shall be operated for, the benefit of Caroline County residents in order to improve the availability and effectiveness of support services for children and families provided by the public and private sector.
