Boards & Commissions
The Caroline County Commissioners appoint members to more than 30 local and regional boards, commissions, and advisory groups. These citizen-driven groups focus on one area of local government or service provision and provide valuable feedback, advice, and insight to the Commissioners.
Qualifications
The County Commissioners are always seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to serve on these groups. Interested applicants must be county residents and be able to devote the necessary time to being a good and active board member. Some boards may have additional requirements for membership.
How to Apply
A list of current vacancies is available. All applicants for board openings must submit a completed Biographical Information Form to the County Commissioners Office in order to be considered for appointment. A letter of interest describing why you would like to be on the board or commission should be submitted with your Biographical Information Form.
If there are no current vacancies on boards you are interested in, you are encouraged to complete the Biographical Information Form and submit a list the boards on which you would like to serve. Forms will be kept on file and applicants will be contacted when a vacancy occurs.
